Print Process

GICLEE (ZHEE-CLAY) All of my giclee prints are direct reproductions from my orignal paintings. Each painting is either photographed digitaly, or scanned directly from the originals, then transferred into a computer where it can be color corrected, stored digitally and printed out as needed on a photograph quality printer. I control every step of the process, and so every print is as close to the original as possable. I only use pigment based inks and acid free, non-gloss photo paper. Because the ink is pigment based (as oposed to dye based used in lythographs) the giclees are more water resistant and light resistant. Giclée prints have a higher resolution, and better logitivity than them most other prints made wth other reproduction processes. Giclee prints have shown to last 85-100 years without noticeable fading assuming certain care factors are followed, allowing archival museum-quality prints.

Product creation

I also create all the products curently carried in my online store. I take all the same care with my products that I take with my prints. All images are printed in the same method and with a high grade acid free paper. They are as close as possable to the originals in color and are highly detailed for their size.
