The gift of light, nothing in all the world brings the hope that it can inspire. When the gods created the shimmering brilliance of the aurora they sought to do just that. Yet in the hands of no mortal could the blessed dust, that breathed the very life into the northern light, be trusted. They chose the most trustworthy of earth’s creatures, the dragons. In the eyes of a child innocence and truth lie more than in any other, therefore they bestowed the gift upon a young dragonling. Perched upon a lofty peak covered in powdery snow the young dragon learned ever more of the aurora. When he was grown it was then that the gods saw the fruition of their efforts, for the brilliant light of the north was indeed a tapestry of great hope and wonder in the hands of this noble creature. Even now the trustworthy dragon waits, perched beyond mortal site waiting for the right moment…waiting to weave hope in the sky.
